Antenna Toolbox

Antenna models, NanoVNA and path planning

Design an antenna, measure it with a NanoVNA and plan the radio path it will be used on. Every design is solved rather than looked up, and every model is checked against the program it was ported from.

What it does

37 templates, all solved

Yagi, Moxon, log-periodic, quad, J-pole, helix, dish, Vivaldi, patch and more. Wires by the method of moments, sheets by surface MoM, printed antennas by FDTD, dishes by physical optics.

Match it and build it

Tune by hand or with the optimiser, synthesise an L, pi, T or stub match from standard parts, and get a cut sheet, a drawing and the feed detail.

Measure it

Drives a NanoVNA-H or H4 over USB with SOL calibration, SWR, return loss, Smith chart and cable de-embedding.

Plan the path

Terrain at 30 m resolution, Longley-Rice point to point, broadcast coverage maps, and HF circuit reliability by hour and band.
